Mortal Kombat: Game info

Game overview/synopsis

As a fighting game series popularised in the '90s, Mortal Kombat has gone through several iterations to get to where it is today.

The franchise became known for its bloody gameplay and gruesome 'Fatality' finishing moves, and the first game sparked some controversy at launch.

Mortal Kombat originally went up against Street Fighter when it first launched in the '90s, but differentiated itself with its more realistic-looking fighters - and lots and lots of blood.

The Mortal Kombat fighting game eSports scene has been on the up in recent years.
